[SUMMARY]

System Goals/Comments: a forwarded (propelled sound into the room) laidback (expansively deep dynamics) 5.1 channel distinct image to acquire most of the best attributes from stereo channels into an involving cohessive deep, wide pin-point surrounding image like that when you're on stage & can't hear the room distortions.
System Strengths: ever diminshing artefacts as I tackle them one @ a time
System Weaknesses: abismal room acoustics, especially @ 60hz spike & 170hz null
Video/HT System: Integrated
TV/Projector:

Panasonic : CT-27SF

seriously considering upgrading to 42' plamsa TV the aesthetic synergy coupled with it's superiority makes it too tempting

  • eggcrated the interior of the midbass panel board

  • Oak boards on the exterior of the midbass board to increase rigidity

  • extended the bass with a pair of Velodyne : CT-80s

  • subs double as a speaker stand for the Maggie center

want to upgrade to SPL-8000s ...

[REAR]

Magnepan : MGLR1

(rears mounted horizontally to depict a distant virtual image via image width, each atop the fllowing sub)

[SUB]

dual Velodyne : FSR18BV

(on either side of the room to actively cancel the most prominent standing wave)

  • will insert a Musical Fidelity : X10-D & X-PSU into the subwoofer line to acousticly minimize its length

Sennheiser : HD-600
Comments on HT System: TV too small for sound & trying to configure an EMI less subwoofer line.
