Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): Anything that was created with heart and competence.
Classical, all Jazz, R&B, Soul, Samba, Funk, House, Southern Fried - but not all Rock, however nothing that was spawned by money-men strictly for profit, or where someone castrated the work with excessive compression and/or bandwidth elimination.
System Goals/Comments: After having spent quite a lot of time in various rooms with other (electrified) musicians, I'm looking for a playback system that makes it difficult for me to determine if it's live or recorded - with my eyes closed.
System Strengths: Accurate at live concert SPLs, in this room.
System Weaknesses: Power hungry, had to upgrade to a new 200amp service to provide a pair of clean dedicated 50A lines just for the two MA-5002VZs!
Bulky, this equipment takes up a huge amount of space.
Video/HT System: None
Other Interests/Hobbies/Occupation: Machinist, Hi-Perf Car Building, Photography: Silver Process 4"X5" & iPhone-6+ for digital (for now), Playing Drums.
