Amplifier: McIntosh Mac 4100.
100 watts. Near mint. Don't use wood cover, equalizer, loudness. Thrift store.
Preamplifier (or None if Integrated): Pioneer C-21.
Capacitance control, no tone controls, no remote. Alps volume. Simple and Sweet.

Speakers: The New Vifa Tower (Originally ACI Opal kit from 1999)
or
Mission 761's (Thrift store and new surrounds)
with Gold Sound (Made in USA) DUAL 12" 7 cu. ft. subwoofers that an SET could probably power.

Turntable/Phono Stage: Thorens TD160.(gift) All original, no cover.
The Thorens likes the C-21.

Tweaks: For the TD160, I use an inner tube sandwiched between 2 thick glass shelves.Works well for me.
