Amplifier: DIY 6C6 drives 2A3, SE. Solid build; not extravagant.

The basic design is from the JE Labs site, but with revised out operating points, no electrolytic capacitors, non-magnetic resistors (Mills, Kiwame, Riken), ElectraPrint outputs, nice components in critical locations.

A more ambitious amp is currently being designed. The $$$ and fear of failure are a bit scary, but hey, it's just for fun.
Preamplifier (or None if Integrated): None - DAC has a quality analogue pre' stage.
Speakers: Bison by Woden Design: 290L MLTL for GPA 604-8H-III drivers, custom Rick Craig crossover. Designed specifically for SET amps and small to medium rooms.
CD Player/DAC: Antipodes DX Gen-2 (with SSD) running Roon 1.3
Other Accessories/Room/Misc.:
Speaker Cables/Interconnects: Curious Cable USB; VH Audio Pulsar AG BNC; Mad Scientist Audio HAC+; DIY VH Audio V-Twist with low-mass Furutech RCA; solid core speaker Cu speaker cables.
Other (Power Conditioner, Racks etc.): PurePower+ 1500 power conditioner/UPS.

Gradually adding new power cables: Furutech FP-TCS31 cable with gold/rhodium-plated AU and FI-31(G) or FI-28(G) IEC. Note: I generally prefer the gold connectors, but use rhodium in a single location still.

Quadraspire SVT Bamboo rack.

Various footers etc. from Mad Scientist Audio, Herbie's Audio Lab, others...
Room Comments/Treatments: A slightly awkward shared space that could benefit from some minor treatment of room modes (bass).
Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): I enjoy most music, though the "country" and easy-listening endured as a child and current commercial pop are excluded.
System Goals/Comments: Create enjoyable musical experiences in our home.
System Strengths: It plays music and mostly achieves or exceeds its primary goal. It sounds slightly dark, solid... but still resolved and dynamic with musical flow and a decent sense of touch. Makes sense of most music.
System Weaknesses: It does not clean the house and can be a touch physically imposing in a small room.

Mundorf metalised film caps may sound vibrant, but emphasise sibilants a touch... won't be using Mundorfs in my next amp build.
Video/HT System: None
Other Interests/Hobbies/Occupation: SET amp building; cycling (well, riding - I'm no "cyclist"); food; craft beer; reading. I try to squeeze in some work as a data linkage hack.
