Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): Rock, Alt Rock, Post-Punk, Folk and Jazz. Minimalist Classical.
System Goals/Comments: I like my system, but really want to try more modern speakers. I'd like to be able hear into more complex music and reduce a bit of bass bloat.
System Strengths: Sounds great with Jazz, Folk or Blues or any acoustic music. Reed instruments and synths sound especially good, as do vocals.
System Weaknesses: Not enough midrange drive--electric guitar in particular, and complex passages seem to get a bit tangled.
I'm also on a second story of a 110-year old Craftsman fourplex with suspended wood floors, so the bass from the Dynaco A25s can get a bit boomy or wooly at times.
Video/HT System: None
