Amplifier: McCormack DNA.5 with Rev. A from SMcAudio
Preamplifier (or None if Integrated): AudioPrism Mantissa with tube rolling completed using Tungsram 6922s and Tungsol 12AU7s
Speakers: B+W M805s on Atlantis stands filled with lead/sand mix and boosted with JPS Labs Golden Flutes (bass equalization)
Sources:
CD Player/DAC: Classe CDP.5
Turntable/Phono Stage: N/A
Other Source(s): Vinny the Snitch, The National Enquirer, Farmers Almanac
Other Accessories/Room/Misc.:
Speaker Cables/Interconnects: JPS Labs Superconductor ICs, LAT 2000 bi-wire speaker cable
Other (Power Conditioner, Racks etc.): Just-a-rack, Chang Lightspeed
Tweaks: BDR cones under preamp, vibrapods under cdp, JPS Labs Golden Flutes, dedicated line with dedicated copper grounding rod, Kinetics Noise Control corner bass traps, slab of granite under cdp, Rat Shack bulk tape eraser, LAT power cords on all electronics
Room Size (LxWxH): 15 x 12 x 8
Room Comments/Treatments: Kinetics Noise Control out of Dublin Ohio is industry's most undeserved secret
Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): Jazz (mostly bop and post-bop), RootsMusic (Steve Earl, Lucinda Williams, Towns Van Zandt, Dave Alvin), Rock for Forty Somethings (Richard Thompson, SCOTS, Pretenders-Chrissy)
System Goals/Comments: Makes me smile after a bad day at work, keeps my audio wanderlust in check, cost hasn't been so great as to cause wife to leave me (yet)
System Strengths: Midrange timbre, timbre, and timbre
System Weaknesses: Can't recreate complex sound sources such as choirs and orchestras, bass is a well-performed illusion but an illusion nonetheless, visceral impact has to be imagined, no deep bass, and with all of the above admitted, I don't miss any of it except the inability to accurately portray complex

sources.

Video/HT System: None
