System Goals/Comments: McIntosh is 20 years old - it sounds warm and smooth but is quite noisy - a new pre-amp will give a huge injection of clarity,speed, and precision to the system.
System Strengths: warm,smooth, and quite musical
System Weaknesses: background noise (from pre-amp)and lack of precision and detail
