Room Size (LxWxH): 12 x 12 x 8
Room Comments/Treatments: Room is on the small side for the speakers, it's much better in good weather when I can open the window. Decorative blankets with SW USA flavored motifs are on all four walls.
Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): Rock, Neil Young,Dr. John,Richard Thompson,Americana,jazz guitar,jazz piano trios,Ella Fitzgerald,Shirley Horn,MJQ,Miles,John Coltrane, Cassandra Wilson,Bill Frisell
System Goals/Comments: I am an advocate of cleaning up the AC power to my components, isolating or at least dampening my components from external and internal vibration, and shielded ICs. The AC filtering and shielded ICs are needed because I live in an EMI/RFI enriched neighborhood.

By lowering the noise floor of my system, I get a better dynamic range and can listen at a lower volume level.

System Strengths: I'm amazed at how pleased I am with the system. I have a lot of fun listening to the music rather than the sound. In particular, I listen to the rhythm sections much more than I ever did previously.

All-in-all, I'm surprised at how good mid-fi can sound after doing my tweaking 'homework'.
System Weaknesses: I'd be a lot better off with a larger room but my retiree's check isn't going to build me that ideal listening room anytime soon.
Video/HT System: None
Other Interests/Hobbies/Occupation: gardening,good beer,amateur photography,chile peppers,travel, baking bread
