This trusty old pre will soon be replaced but I´m still on the hunt for the "perfect" preamp.

I had my first Maggies in the early 80´s, (MGIIA) since then I´ve owned Audiostatics and various Logans. Yes, I´m a panel guy.

Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): Neil Young, Steely Dan, Rickie Lee Jones, David Sylvian, Zappa, Stina Nordenstam, John Coltrane, Mahler......
System Goals/Comments: A tonally coherent sound with satisfactory bass "slam" and life-sized images.
System Strengths: Spacious soundstage, great detail and transparency, "single-driver" coherency.
System Weaknesses: Somewhat limited low bass and "slam". Could use a larger/better room. (...and more $$$)
Video/HT System: None
Other Interests/Hobbies/Occupation: Golf. (I´m an avid 7 handicapper)
