| Room Size (LxWxH): | 24 ft x 24 ft x 4-10-2ft. peaked |
| Room Comments/Treatments: | Listening room is a loft built over the back part of the main floor of the house and can be a real problem. Ceiling is peaked at 10' while the front wall is 4' high, the back wall is only 2' in height while the depth front to back is a full 24'. The width is 15' across at the front wall increasing to a full 22' at the rear and open on one side overlooking the lower level. Horns work surprisingly well in this space while conventional cones and domes do not. |
| Music Preferences and Comments: | |
| Music Used (Genre/Selections): | Classical anytime, Opera sometimes, Cool Jazz late at night... |
| System Goals/Comments: | Emotionally involving at all volume settings with BOTH warmth and detail. Like to listen to music at high volume levels for long periods without fatigue. Also like to be able to listen at low volume settings late at night while still feeling involved. |
| System Strengths: | This is a pretty good sounding system for reasonable cost(Edagarhorn Titans were purchased used but still cost a buck or two). TONS of dynamics but at the same time all of the 'Wonders' of 300B SET. |
| System Weaknesses: | Edgarhorns are bass-shy and require a Sub Woofer which I do not have at the moment. CD player sucks, no DAC. |
| Video/HT System: None | |
| TV/Projector: | You're kidding, right? |
