Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): difficult to pin down, but I seem to play somethings more often than others:
early Western(Janequin), late 60's+ jazz(Shepp, Threadgill, etc.), Eno+, RecRec stuff, Les Paul and Delmore Brothers... Oh, and Amon Tobin too
System Goals/Comments: I *really* think I'll build myself some speakers... sometime ;)
System Strengths: Not too costly and not fatiguing either.
Tubed, but not tizzy nor syrupy: rolling
tubes really cuts out the component swapping
...especially now with the SLI-80
System Weaknesses: The system position(room) is poor, but
acceptable. Running the SLI-80 in triode mode
puts music in the room nicely
Video/HT System: None
