| Last Update: October 31, 2002 at 01:00:22 | IP Address: 192.115.106.236 |
| Amplifier: | Williams Hart Stereo power amp. |
| Preamplifier (or None if Integrated): | Naim NAC-82 powered by two High-Caps. |
| Speakers: | B&W Matrix 801 S3 |
| Sources: | |
| CD Player/DAC: | Naim CDX + XPS power supply. |
| Turntable/Phono Stage: | TT = Nottingham Analogue SpaceDeck. Its massive base plate was thrown out the window as it kills the sound completely. Arm = Kuzma Stogi, Cardas wired by Kuzma. Cart = Ortofon MC-3000-2 Phono stage: Linn Linto. |
| Other Accessories/Room/Misc.: | |
| Speaker Cables/Interconnects: | Spkr = Swiss made Symo Interconnect = Chord Cobra 2 |
| Other (Power Conditioner, Racks etc.): | I'm using a filtered mains distributor, which is based on Schaffner's RFI filters. British type terminations. Racks are all Base, where the CD and TT are on the phenomenal Star-Base. |
| Tweaks: | So far only mains power was treated.
|
| Room Size (LxWxH): | 12' x 15' x 14' |
| Room Comments/Treatments: | the room is huge! |
| Music Preferences and Comments: | |
| Music Used (Genre/Selections): | I listen to a very eclectic range, from Pink-Floyd to Rush, From Charpantier to Mahler, from Ella To D. Krall, From Coltrane to McLaughlin. |
| System Goals/Comments: | The typical Naim sound when everything is carefully set-up is a true feeling of the musical structure and tempo. When using their expensive stuff you also get the deep details, soundstage etc as a bonus. |
| System Strengths: | See goals |
| System Weaknesses: | I could use some more openess, as in the new Nautilus range |
| Video/HT System: None | |
