Amplifier: Antique Sound Lab EXtreme Hurricane DT 200 modified by Response Audio. V-Cap Teflon Film Caps used for coupling and PS bypass. 2W Riken Ohm resistors for grid stop, Dale/Vishay for rest of signal path, Bybees in B+, WBT topline binding posts and RCA jacks, and a few other tweaks...

Use EH-KT88's for output tubes, and I am experimenting with numerous 6SN7/VT-231 types (Tung Sol roundplates, metal and plastic base base W's, KenRad, Sylvania, RCA, Hytron, Neotron, Raytheon, and Red Base 5692's) for other tubes.

Preamplifier (or None if Integrated): Bent TAP passive.
Speakers: Custom Von Schweikert VR4-SR's in main system (x-overs made with V-Cap TFTF and OIMP capacitors), VR-4 Jr's in HT system. Sennheiser HD-600 Headphones.
Sources:
CD Player/DAC: Meridian 500 Transport, Meridian 518, Lavry DA2002 DAC. Also have a Consonance Droplet for system #2.
Turntable/Phono Stage: none
Other Source(s): TacT RCS 2.0S Room correction signal process (feeds the Lavry DA2002).
Other Accessories/Room/Misc.:
Speaker Cables/Interconnects: IC's= VHA Spectrum Cu interconnects. Speaker cables= VH Audio prototypes (not yet released). VH Audio AirSine cables on everything.
Other (Power Conditioner, Racks etc.): VH Audio AirSine power cables feeding all. Soundstyle Component Rack, Soundstyle Monobloc Stands. 20 X 24' X 1/4' Carbon fiber platforms placed on top of the amp stands, underneath the Hurricanes.
Tweaks: Herbie's Audio Labs large ball cup tenderfeet with 1 1/2' Norsorex balls under amps and digital gear. Four 20 amp dedicated lines wired with 10 AWG romex. Every duplex outlet has been star-grounded to a dedicated earth ground with equal lengths of 10 AWG ground wire.
Room Size (LxWxH): 13 x 20 x 7.5
Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): Classic Rock, Fusion, Funk, Jazz, Blues, Instrumental Rock. Jeff Beck is favorite musician.
System Goals/Comments: Goals= transparency, speed, tautness in bass, accurate tonal balance, soundstaging. I have been a drummer for 25 years, so if a system can't produce realistic drums and cymbals, it ain't mine!
System Strengths: My system is built on synergy to produce what I consider to be a very tonally accurate sound with exceptional transient response and rhythm. Reproduction of instrumental music (amplified or unamplified) is spot on. Reproducing the tonal characteristics of Jeff Beck's Strat, Jeff Sipe's drum kit, or Stanley Clarke's bass, are just as important to me as any vocal or unamplified orchestral performance.
System Weaknesses: Lots of heat generated for the relatively small room.
Video/HT System: Integrated
TV/Projector: Pioneer PDP-6070HD Plasma
Sources (DVD/VCR): Denon DVD-2930CI
