Roi de Myphi's Old Guy Audio - Office Conference Room System
Last Update: July 08, 2003 at 18:27:57 IP Address: 65.45.240.111
Amplifier: McIntosh MA-6100
Preamplifier (or None if Integrated): None
Speakers: Bozak B-302's
Sources:
CD Player/DAC: McIntosh MCD-7000 CD Player
Turntable/Phono Stage: Dual 601 (Belt Drive) with Shure M95 Cartridge
Other Source(s): McIntosh MR-74 Tuner
Other Accessories/Room/Misc.:
Speaker Cables/Interconnects: Monster Cable, Standard RCA cables for the componets.
Other (Power Conditioner, Racks etc.): McIntosh MQ-101
Tweaks: Still messing with the cross overs on the speakers. (Currently using the orginials again!) Intagrated with computer network.
Room Size (LxWxH): 15 x 12 x 12
Room Comments/Treatments: Not much. Few pieces of art. All the componets and speakers are in matching cabinets sold direcly by McIntosh in the early 70's before they started selling speaker systems. Actually these are very cool. It took me a long time to find them. (Thanks AA.)
Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): ABR (Anything but RAP). Sorry I'm an old guy!
System Goals/Comments: To get the speakers to sound as good as they did in my mind in 1975. I've tried lots of custom cross over circuits and even multi-amping but still can't get what I want.
System Strengths: The Mac stuff.
System Weaknesses: The system engineer. I still can get this system to perform as well as it should. Maybe it's time to upgrade the cables?
Video/HT System: None
Processor/Receiver/Amplifiers: See above.

Other Interests/Hobbies/Occupation: Computer guy, like older audio gear, motorcycles, ballet (watching only) and drinking the most expensive wine I can afford!
