| Turntable/Phono Stage: | Michell Orbe SE, SME V, Allaerts MC1B into Tom Evans The Groove into Z-systems ADC into Z-Systems RDP-1 for removal of room anomalies then via Chord DAC64. Sounds crazy but it provides the best analogue sound I've heard in my room thanks to removal of the room's sound! The ADC and DAC conversions don't undermine the analogue sound and my vinyl frontend considerably improves on the sound of my CD transport. |

| Tweaks: | I use ETF Acoustics' superb PC based room response measurement software with their microphone and pre-amp to ensure correct response in my room. The Z-Systems RDP-1 allows me to neutralise room problems. I power the 9v ADC from a TTI Bench Powersupply with 0.1% regulation which improves smoothness and soundstage. I treat all CDs with Finyl and always use a Ringmat CDi Blue. |

| Room Comments/Treatments: | My room rolls off the frequency response above about 11KHz and has a bass peak at 280Hz and the speakers have suck outs around 2KHz and 5KHz but the Z-Systems RDP-1 removes these anomalies, I run with an essentially flat frequency response with a 1 to 2 dB lift between 7KHz and 9KHz. |

| System Goals/Comments: | Minimal colouration, exciting dynamics, excellent imaging and good inner detail. |
| System Strengths: | Very clean, neutral sound but not sterile, excellent bass control, delicate high frequencies, excellent imaging, smooth midrange. |
| System Weaknesses: | Micro-dynamics not as good as with a good valve setup, needs the volume control turned up for best results, again not like the best valve amps. |
