Room Size (LxWxH): 22 x 14 x 9
Room Comments/Treatments: Wall to wall carpets. Books and record/CD cabinets. Sonex sparingly applied. Room is not bright not dead. Seems to have good reverb (ie:very little) Room does well on hand clap test. Windows covered with heavy drapes.
Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): Jazz (Have 46 Miles LP's/CD's). Pop music and R&B (Adult Comtemporary)ex: Bela Fleck, Toni Braxton, Brooklyn Funk Essentials, Sills doing La Traviata, Ormandy conducting The Philadelphia (vinyl!)
System Goals/Comments: Provide something I didn't want to junk after visiting Soundex. It took 3 months to get my speakers positioned. It was worth the effort!
System Strengths: Clean, does not intensify digital nasties. Can make your hair stand on end at times. Sounds very good on the LIAR (listening in another room) test. Female voices are unbelievably realistic.
System Weaknesses: Could wish for slightly more volume capability. Would like more bass. I'm currently flat to 35HZ. Correction on bass response. Re-positioned speakers and have more than sufficient bass. I don't know why I want more volume I already get 102db peaks at my listening position.
Video/HT System: None
Other Interests/Hobbies/Occupation: Computer geek (day job), brew my own beer, Electronics hobbyist. Ride my bicycle weather permitting.
