| Room Comments/Treatments: | Carpeted room with large wool rug on top. Nothing is perfect and I have an air return in my room for the HVAC unit. The AC runs a lot in Houston in the summertime, but mainly during the middle of the day. But the flick of a switch turns it off. |

| Music Used (Genre/Selections): | Jazz, especially bebop era and small ensembles; Blues; Classical; good rock and roll (that means oldies to me; Layla is on my top 5 list of best albums ever recorded) |
| System Goals/Comments: | Accurate music reproduction that is musically satisfying for me, I want the performance to happen in the room with me. |
| System Strengths: | Resolution; dynamic contrasts; you are there |
| System Weaknesses: | My goal was to put together a system that was accurate and musical, that would draw me into the music. IMHO I have done that. However it is also revealing and on bad recordings or bright recordings, all the information is apparent, good and bad. GIGO... Sometimes I miss the warmth that my older ARC tube gear provided, even thought it was much more veiled sounding. Oh well, everything is a trade off in some regard. |
