Tustin Dave's A Good Start - A Good Value System
Last Update: October 15, 2003 at 21:54:21 IP Address: 67.125.42.164
Amplifier: ATI 1502

Preamplifier (or None if Integrated): AMC CVT1030

ADCOM GTP400

Speakers: Magnepan QR1.6 ACI Titan Sub-woofer.
Sources:
CD Player/DAC: Sony DVP-NC650V
Turntable/Phono Stage: Technics SL-D3 with Grado Black. Sounds very good but I still prefer digital. I want to repeat the track from where I'm sitting.
Other Accessories/Room/Misc.:
Speaker Cables/Interconnects: MIT T2 Bi-Wired

Audioqest Slate.

Monster Interconnect 400

Tweaks: Changed Tubes in my pre-amplifier, swap speaker cables out.
Room Size (LxWxH): 12 x 14 x 8
Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): Pop, Country, Gospel, Classic.
System Goals/Comments: The usual. Tight Bass, liquid mid-range and airy highs.
System Strengths: Because of the Magnepans, the mid-range.
System Weaknesses: Perhaps the amplifier could be smoother. Not sure though.
Video/HT System: Integrated
TV/Projector: Inexpensive Sharp 32 inch.
Other Interests/Hobbies/Occupation: Software Engineer. Jogging, weightlifting and drinking wine while listening to stereo.
