Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): I enjoy listening to all types of music, even some country if it is on Vinyl. (ssshhh don't tell anyone)
System Goals/Comments: I want my system to involve me in the performance, to convey the emotional and energy of the performance.
System Strengths: Huge soundstage, natural dynamics and awesome dynamic range. The Rogue M150's in triode mode, paired with the vandy subs give the impression of limitless power.
System Weaknesses: Magnepans don't image like a mini monitor but then again that isn't always a weakness. 90% of the time I find the huge soundstage the Maggies throw more fun and involving.
Video/HT System: Integrated
TV/Projector: 40' Sony XBR HDTV
Processor/Receiver/Amplifiers: Onkyo, forget model number.
Speakers (Center, Surrounds, Sub): Sony ED with the KEF Ref style enclousers.
Sources (DVD/VCR): Sony 5 disc with progressive scan, Mitsubishi LD
Comments on HT System: Better than the internal TV speakers. Actually it's not too bad. My wife likes it more than I do but then she is the TV/movie junky.
