Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): Classical, Jazz, Soft, Heavy Metal ... all kinds, really.
System Goals/Comments: Perfection of the following:

Dynamics, SLAM, soundstage, depth, timbre, and overall balance, naturalness, warm-side-of-neutral, and precise imaging, smoothness, rich-full bodied sound, and lastly ultra high-resolution (clarity).

System Strengths: Speakers
--------
BASS Definition and extension

Excellent Treble - Extended, but never harsh or unnatural.

Soundstage - The speakers just disappear.

Midrange - Clarity and depth

CD Player
----------
CD Player sounds wonderful. Piano and brass are always hard to duplicate, but this CD Player does it well. In addition, the bass is tremendous from this CD Player. The overall sound is very thick (palpable) and rich. The CD Player also provides great depth.

Preamplifier just stays out of the way.

Amplifiers produce top quality sound. They excel at soundstaging and accuracy of timbre. Bass is also tight and plentiful. Mids are clear.

Second System
-------------
One word -- FUN. The second system has a lot of OOMPH! and is fun to listen to. I credit the Klipsch KLF-30 speakers for that trait.

System Weaknesses: Primary System
----------------
Size -- VERY DIFFICULT TO MOVE.
(350 Lbs/speaker)
(120+ lbs/amplifier)
... you get the picture.

I wish for just a touch more forwardness. Overall Balance could be ever so slightly better. Speakers are highly adjustable, though. To be honest, I really love this system. I'm biased, but it's hard for me to find fault with it.

Oh, at the moment, I find the sweet spot to be a little too small ... but these are big speakers in a basement (low ceiling) and I am forced to listen a couple of feet closer than I'd like.

Video/HT System: None
