| Music Used (Genre/Selections): | The whole gamut ranging from Jazz (Herbie Hancock, Miles Davis, Thelonius Monk) to Classical (Mozart, Orf, Vivaldi) to Rap (Eminem, Dr. Dre) to Rock (Metallica, Guns N'Roses, Pink Floyd, Beatles, Nirvana). |
| System Goals/Comments: | Needed a fairly compact 5.1 system that performed equally well for HT and all musical genres. |
| System Strengths: | A great system that, in my mind, strikes the best balance between price and performance. Most important achievement of the system is that I enjoy every minute of listening to it. |
| System Weaknesses: | Using 5 bookshelves with limited bass extension for a 5.1 system means that you still need a subwoofer for stereo listening. Not the most esthetically pleasing system I've ever seen -- no pretty wood veneers or piano black gloss here -- but looks great in my living room and the performance kicks @$$!. |
