| Room Size (LxWxH): | 22.3 x 16 x 10 |
| Room Comments/Treatments: | Dedicated, acoustically isolated room designed by Rives Audio and modified by Matt Lyons of Lyonsound, with acoustic treatments built into room structure. Room encompasses an incredible amount of custom carpentry and trim work. Room is on its own HVAC loop, and has a dedicated subpanel with multiple 20A dedicated circuits. |
| Music Preferences and Comments: | |
| Music Used (Genre/Selections): | Almost everything except modern country music (which is ironic because I currently live in Nashville) |
| System Goals/Comments: | Trying to get as close to perfection as budget will allow. |
| System Strengths: | Smooth, musical, highly resolving without being analytical, well-balanced. |
| System Weaknesses: | System set up to maximize music reproduction, which compromises it slightly for movies. I wish the room was several feet longer. Additional length would have improved the multi-channel capabilities somewhat. |

| Sources (DVD/VCR): | Lexicon RT-20 Universal Disc Player Denon DVD-3800BDCI Blu-ray Player Toshiba HD-A35 HD DVD Player |
| Other HT Gear: | Microsoft xBox 360 Game Console with HDMI output |
| Comments on HT System: | Focused more on music, but makes good movie noise. Using the digital delay/bass management features built into the players. I used to have a Lexicon digital preamp/processor, but after I went HD-DVD/Blu-ray, I found I was only using the analog passthrough capabilities. The Lex added a bit of an electronic "haze" to the music, so I switched to an all-analog preamp. |
