Last Update: April 12, 2000 at 10:47:56 IP Address: 128.112.156.90
Amplifier: Homebrew SE 6B4G w/Hammond 1625. Using Sovtek 6B4G's -- NOS 6B4s on the way....

(And 340wpc sand amp for subs)

Preamplifier (or None if Integrated): Modified Dynaco PAM-1s. Solen output coupling caps. Bypassed tone controls. Phillips 12AX7WA's. Mucho power filtering. Cheap pots.

Heathkit sub xover (circa 1981).

Speakers: 1977 Klipsch Heresy - alnico drivers 96db/w/m
Twin 15" homebrew subs.
Sources:
CD Player/DAC: Phillips CDR 760
Turntable/Phono Stage: Dual CS505 III, Ortofon OM5e
Other Source(s): Dyna FM3, VHS HiFi (audio only-I used to archive my cassettes), Akai GX4000 reel-to-reel, Nakamichi CR1a
Other Accessories/Room/Misc.:
Speaker Cables/Interconnects: Home Depot 12ga.
Homebrew cat 5 interconnects
Other (Power Conditioner, Racks etc.): Cheap power strip/conditioner (Monster?)
Tweaks: Every freakin' day man!
Room Size (LxWxH): 22' x 15' x 7'8"
Room Comments/Treatments: Still working on sub placement
Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): Most types of jazz/esp. MJQ, Dave Brubeck, alternative, Steely Dan, Old Dead bootlegs...
System Goals/Comments: The most fun for the least bucks!
System Strengths: 6B4G > alnico Heresy combination is really wonderful.
System Weaknesses: Modified Dyna PAM1s sound great used with 6B4 amp alone -- but they have lots of trouble driving the CDR and Heath SS xover. I'm working on it...
Video/HT System: Integrated
TV/Projector: JVC 32"
Processor/Receiver/Amplifiers: Adcom GFP-555, GFA-535
Speakers (Center, Surrounds, Sub): Klipsch KSB 1.1, KSW50 Sub
Sources (DVD/VCR): VHS HiFi, Toshiba DVD
Comments on HT System: Does the job.
