| Music Used (Genre/Selections): | Classic Rock/Jimi, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Traffic, Allman Brothers Blues, Jazz, Classical...still getting into these and don't know enough to comment on particular faves |
| System Goals/Comments: | The goal is to keep the system fairly simple with continual upgrades to better components. I would also like to add a quality cd player, a reel to reel player, and a tuner. I am thoroughly enjoying the system as is though, especially after the addition of the Marantz. It replaced a consumer-grade Pioneer and the difference in the phono's is pretty amazing. Well worth it and it was cheap. |
| System Strengths: | Put together cheaply. Components seem very versatile/forgiving. Sound. |
| System Weaknesses: | I would always like to be able to spend more or get something newer. Interconnects and cables need to be addressed at some point. No tuner...yet. I need to get a cd player too but I'll wait until the format war settles. Plus, I prefer vinyl. |
