| Turntable/Phono Stage: | Music Hall MMF-5, all stock |
| Other Source(s): | 1. Luxman K-111 cassette deck (mid 90's)teamed w/ an old DBX N/R box. 2. Teac X-1000RB 10" open reel deck (mid 80's)usually hiding in the closet. |
| Other Accessories/Room/Misc.: | |
| Speaker Cables/Interconnects: | Cables: XLO Pro shotgun biwire. ICs: Moon Audio on amp/pre and CDP, old Signet cables on the rest. |
| Other (Power Conditioner, Racks etc.): | AC conditioner Wood Technology modules. LCC custom component covers for TT and cassette deck. |
| Tweaks: | Speaker cables elevated with porcelin corner tiles |
| Room Comments/Treatments: | Wood floor, irregular-shaped room |
| Music Preferences and Comments: | |
| Music Used (Genre/Selections): | Eclectic: 60's art-rockers to 70's punk to Flaming Lips to opera, classical, Celtic, "chill" music, Angelo Badalamenti movie soundtracks... |
| System Goals/Comments: | Reliable non-fussy system with fidelity that far exceeds the $$ spent on it through careful selection of "bang-for-the-buck" components. |
| System Strengths: | See above. |
| System Weaknesses: | Components are very difficult to access in my rack, and my TT is susceptible to footfalls. I may upgrade speaker cables and remaining ICs soon. Upgrade preamp and tuner eventually. Nothing super-necessary but a quieter preamp (esp. phono stage) would be nice. |
