Last Update: March 06, 2006 at 10:15:15 IP Address: 212.129.149.98
Amplifier: Naim Nap 140 & Sugden A21a, which I like both, for different reasons: the Naim NAP for its zest and enthousiasm, and the A21a because it's such a smoothy and for its fine tonal colour.
Preamplifier (or None if Integrated): Naim Nac 72 & Hi-Cap power supply.
Speakers: A pair of Tannoy Definition D500.
Sources:
CD Player/DAC: TEAC VDRS-T1 Transport/Meracus Auriga DAC.
Turntable/Phono Stage: Thorens 125 MkII/Origin Live-modded RB250 tonearm (stub + internal wiring) with Denon MC DL304/Trichord Dino phonostage + PSU.
&
Thorens 124/SME 3009 Improved/Denon DL103R with Naim Stageline plus iSupply.
Other Source(s): Sansui TU217 analogue tuner.
Other Accessories/Room/Misc.:
Speaker Cables/Interconnects: DNM Reson MkII/Van den Hul CS122 Hybrid & Ixos, QED, Silver Sonic D-75 BNC-RCA interconnects.
Other (Power Conditioner, Racks etc.): Energia power strip w/ built-in filter.
Tweaks: Hand-built Flexy (see TNT-Audio) style equipment rack.
Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): Jazz, 70s/80s pop/symph. rock, classical.
System Goals/Comments: This is my stress-relief machine!
System Strengths: Transparency & musicality, I guess...
System Weaknesses: Amp-fussy speakers. My current room is not ideal for my system, but hey, is it ever?
Video/HT System: None
Other Interests/Hobbies/Occupation: I was trained as a Greek/English/Dutch interpreter and am currently working as a freelance translator/editor in The Hague.
