Preamplifier (or None if Integrated): None
Speakers: Audio Physic Yara
Sources:
CD Player/DAC: Verastarr (modded) Silver Reference Jolida 100A with Amperex 12AX7's
Turntable/Phono Stage: Rega P3, Dynavector 20XL, Dynavector P-75
Other Source(s): Magnum Dynalab Etude
Other Accessories/Room/Misc.:
Speaker Cables/Interconnects: Speaker: Verastarr Ultra Refence Biwire
IC's: Verastarr Silver Reference (tuner), Clarity Labs Emberglow (cdplayer), Kimber Tonic (phono stage --> amp)
Power: 'stock' 14ga. (amp), 'stock' 16ga. (cdp), PSAudio Power Punch (tuner)
Other (Power Conditioner, Racks etc.): PSAudio UPC-200
Tweaks: All tubes have Halos, turntable has Herbie's mat
Room Size (LxWxH): 14 x 13 x 8
Room Comments/Treatments: Bad room. Both bright and bassy. Wierd, unbalanced openings and untreated windows.
Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): Folk, rock, jam bands, bluegrass, and a bit of just about everything else.
System Goals/Comments: Happy with the system I've put together. I don't have the upgrade bug at all right now, although I'd sure like to put together a Hi-eff/SET system in the bedroom...
System Strengths: Women's voices are magic and simple percussion like hand drums sound perfect to me.
System Weaknesses: Loud and/or complex music becomes congested. This is the only real weakness of my speakers and I'm sure the room size doesn't help. Bass doesn't have the 'heft' of live rock music, but sounds good.
Video/HT System: Integrated
TV/Projector: Cheap 27'
Processor/Receiver/Amplifiers: None
Speakers (Center, Surrounds, Sub): same 2-channel system
Sources (DVD/VCR): Cheap Zenith vcr/dvd combo
Comments on HT System: An LCD or DLP would make room arangement easier, but even if I had the money I'd rather spend it on audio gear.
Other Interests/Hobbies/Occupation: Hiking, sailing, surfing, poker (really good days fund new audio gear).
