Amplifier: Tecnics SE9060, 70w/side.
Preamplifier (or None if Integrated): Audionics BT-2
Speakers: Mission 753.
Sources:
CD Player/DAC: Nakamichi CD-4
Turntable/Phono Stage: Rega Planar 2, DIY solid state phono stage. (BT-2 internal stage is kaput). DNM Eciore MC cartridge.
Other Source(s): Harmon Kardon casette deck.
Other Accessories/Room/Misc.:
Speaker Cables/Interconnects: Yes.
Other (Power Conditioner, Racks etc.): All 17' rack-mount, on a single rack.
Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): Jazz, in this system. I play my guitar with it. And I let my son play his drums with it - it plays loud.
System Goals/Comments: Most of it acquired in about 1979. It sounds like what I then thought was hi-fi.
System Strengths: It makes music, still, pretty sharp dynamics.
System Weaknesses: No real bass, can't begin to do that last layer of resolution needes for a real sense of space between instruments etc. And not so good for the timbres of acoustic instruments .
Video/HT System: None
