junk2sa@yahoo.com's Main System for Rock and home theater System
Last Update: June 22, 2005 at 07:14:48 IP Address: 65.244.163.53
Amplifier: Dynaco Stereo 70 (need something else here)
Preamplifier (or None if Integrated): Sony XBR 32' Tv
Speakers: Klipsch Forte 1
Sources:
CD Player/DAC: Sanyo DVD/CD player, Sony CE-595 SACD
Other Source(s): Tivo with home media option for MP3 playback. (Highly recommended for listening to music instead of the system. I don't have to get off the couch to listen to any of my music.) Note however that the sound quality is not even close to my CD player, even when playing 320kbps Mp3s.
Other Accessories/Room/Misc.:
Speaker Cables/Interconnects: Monster M1 speaker cables and Radio Shack Gold plated Interconnect RCA cables. Hosa XLR to RCA adapters.
Other (Power Conditioner, Racks etc.): Behringer Ultracurve 2496 31 band equalizer/processor with 62 band RTA.
Room Size (LxWxH): 30 x 25 x 11
Room Comments/Treatments: None other than Rugs and furniture. If I could add more room treatment and still be ok with the wife, I would.
Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): Rock (on this system)
System Goals/Comments: To rock out!
System Strengths: Loud, loud, loud!
System Weaknesses: Doesnt touch the office system in naturalness and realism.
Video/HT System: Integrated
TV/Projector: Sony XBR 32'
Processor/Receiver/Amplifiers: Same as audio system.
Speakers (Center, Surrounds, Sub): Same as audio system.
Sources (DVD/VCR): Sanyo DVD and Sony VCR. (two Sony DVD players kicked the bucket... I won't buy them again)
Other HT Gear: Sony piece of crap powered Sony subwoofer. It makes boom sounds when it needs to. I rarely use it now that I have the ProACs.
