Other Source(s): Slim Devices Transporter
Other Accessories/Room/Misc.:
Speaker Cables/Interconnects: Audioquest X-2
Other (Power Conditioner, Racks etc.): I use a heavy maple four shelf upright stand from Timbernation. I use a DIY'd Wiremold L10320 power strip for all my peripherals except amp. It came with stock 14/3 PC and hardwired with 14AWG THHN internal wiring. I switched to 12 AWG internal and used a shielded DIY VH audio 12 AWG PC with a counter twist ground wire for the strip's outlets with the shield attached to the box, both grounds to the outlet side. This worked really well.
Room Size (LxWxH): 15 x 20 x 16
Room Comments/Treatments: Open suspended room. Fine acoustics from Cathedral ceiling.
Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): Classical, Jazz, Rock, Blues
System Goals/Comments: Clean, crisp, true sound with quiet background. Speaker wires--I have been on a roller coaster in this regard. Mapleshade double helix sounded very good, Chris VH's CheLa better. I went with a DIY litz braid of OCC wires from VH Audio for a while Then after a flirtation woth Blue Jeans #10 went with Harmonic Tech's Pro. Now Audioquest X-2 speaker cables with an older but better Element Cable 85259 Jon Risch design IC.
System Strengths: Really fine
