Bass amp, from 250 Hz down - Parasound Halo 23 with Marchand crossover
Preamplifier (or None if Integrated): Bryston 12B or Klyne SK5A (sometimes with Quicksilver MC xformer)
Speakers: MartinLogan VISTA electrostatics in 2014, x-over at 250 hz to NHT 1249s in custom enclosures.

Speaker Cables/Interconnects: Kimber 8TC, all interconnects are 22 ga. 3-wire solid core braided Radio Shack hookup wire w/ Vampire RCA's. Occasionally shift to some Kimber PBJ's
Other (Power Conditioner, Racks etc.): All AC cords are as short as possible, with hospital grade plugs to dedicated AC circuits on 30 amp breakers. NittyGritty 1.5 Fi cleaner, homebrew fluid, Zerostat, Cecil Watts Parostat, Audioquest carbon fiber brush, Skillions of Far West Record Supply LP sleeves, Original FluxBuster.
Tweaks: Cramolin, Sorbothane here and there, keep it all clean.
Room Size (LxWxH): 22.5 x 14 x cathedral
Room Comments/Treatments: Sonex in upper cathedral triangle areas. When we built this home, we designed the "family room" specifically for 2-channel stereo (16 years ago). 6" walls, 2x12 joists on 12"enters, 3/4" flooring, glued and screwed (!). Yes, 10 ga./30 amp circuits (3) to the racks, 12 plugs.
Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): Anything from Beethoven to Brubeck to Bonnie Rait to Belafonte to Buffett. 3500 LP's, 250 or so CD's.
System Goals/Comments: Listen to music and forget the toys
System Strengths: My wife likes the music
System Weaknesses: It doesn't sound like Carnegie Hall (and never will)
Video/HT System: None
TV/Projector: A 30" LCD TV on a digital convertor box with huge Channel Master antenna/rotor. (We live in a rural area, so no cable, too many trees, so no dish.) We seldom watch TV or movies more than 5 hours/month, and that only during football season. REDSKINS !!!! (pray). Mmmmmm.....lots of golf this spring.
Other Interests/Hobbies/Occupation: Retired U.S. Navy submariner, Retired research vessel Captain, Avid pistol target shooter and ammunition reloader. (Yes, at 80 I use a LOT of ear protection!)Tinker with and drive like a maniac in a 2002 Cadillac Crimson pearl F55 STS.
