Room Size (LxWxH): 15' x 15' x 9'
Room Comments/Treatments: The room is a critical component! I use hand made absorbers and first and second reflection points on side walls. Corner Bass Traps. Strategically placed Auralex absorbers mounted with 3' air gap to completely eliminate all flutter echo. Hybrid golden ratio/quadratic residue diffusors on ceiling.
Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): Classic Rock, Classical, Modern Worship, Bluegrass, Jazz, Country
System Goals/Comments: To reduce intermodulation distortion yet maintain completely coherent reproduction. To develop a sound field wherin individual vocals and instruments are fully discernable and properly placed in the field as determined by original recording and subsequent engineering.
System Strengths: Absolutely real soundstage, the vocalists and instruments are 'in the room'. The speakers have 'disappeared'. Sound comes from where it belongs in the final recording and only from the vicinity of the speakers if something belongs there in the sound stage. Excellent detail and pinpoint accuracy. Tubes for the delicate and delicious highs, fast direct-coupled SS for the mid's and the deep bass seperated into a sub. A tri-amped system with all time arrival and room response measurments made and adjusted as close to perfection as humanly possible. Overall design philosophy was to reduce intermodulation distortion in all areas.
System Weaknesses: None. I've arrived... I'm done... ha ha ha
Video/HT System: Separate
