| Preamplifier (or None if Integrated): | Presently I use a Bottlehead Foreplay for music. I am building a Marchand Electronics XM126 all-tube crossover, which will actively tri-amp Maneplanar 3.6rs. In concert with a stepped attenuator it will also function as preamp. |

| Room Comments/Treatments: | Acoustic treatments are an overlooked necessity! Heavy-duty Levolor curtain rods ring my room, allowing me to tweak acoustic treatments at will. This makes a big difference--much bigger than many equipment/component changes. |

| Music Used (Genre/Selections): | Pop/Rock. James Taylor, Beatles, Paul Simon, etc. Great vocals and pity lyrics. |
| System Goals/Comments: | To transcend my 30-year-old memory of bi-amped Tympanis and tubes. Those speakers gave vocals a palpable, holographic quality which I hope to recreate. That goal is my motivation and excuse for a continually satisfying journey of tube/design/DIY discovery. |

| Comments on HT System: | Music system will function as foundation of HT system. I'm presently using the 1.6s, in phantom center mode, for front channel duty, and like them very much. |
