Last Update: September 12, 2004 at 19:33:10 IP Address: 70.68.160.84
Amplifier: Panasonic XR-50
Preamplifier (or None if Integrated): None
Speakers: Energy C5
Sources:
CD Player/DAC: Computer: SB Live 5.1 digital out
Other Accessories/Room/Misc.:
Speaker Cables/Interconnects: Home Depot 'HD 14'. Cheap digital interconnect.
Room Size (LxWxH): 15' x 10' x 8'
Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): Ambient, Goa trance, dronology, glitch, IDM, traditional drumming etc.. Anything with a beat or electronic or experimental.
System Goals/Comments: Goals: 2-channel Transparency and holographic imaging. Would like to be full range some day.

My philosophy with this system is: To spend 10% and get 90% as good, ie, my amp cost $380. To do 10% better would cost $3800

System Strengths: Tonal neutrality and reveiling nature. Wall of sound. Hard to do better than this for $1200
System Weaknesses: Limited room/poor placement in a small space means a small 'sweet spot' Usable bass only to 30hz.
Video/HT System: None
