Tweaks: Iso pods on all equipment, and Blue Tac between speakers and stands.
Room Size (LxWxH): 20' x 15 x 16' to 10'
Room Comments/Treatments: Highest celling hight over speakers. No Room Tunes or Tube Traps.
Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): Rock, Blues, Jazz, Classical. Lately I have been listening to the Goldberg Variations (by Bach)
System Goals/Comments: Bigger, Better, Faster, More
System Strengths: I love the clarity, and dynamics. The midrange combonation of horn and B&K sound right to me, especially on an opera like Tosca. Big involving sound. Before this system I had an Arcam Intergrated playing over Vandersteen 1Bs with a Rotel CD Player with Audioquest Cables. That system never fatigued you and was ok, but it was'nt very involving.
System Weaknesses: Speakers can be a little to revealing on bad or old recordings. Even with the B&K the Klipsch can occasionally sound a little birte in the upper mids and highs. The sub is a great improvment in bass but even with the level set as high as I can get it before the bass becomes boomy or distorted, it falls just a little short of what I would consider full range. It probably goes down to around 27hz in my room.
Video/HT System: None
