Room Comments/Treatments: All CD's, LP's, 7"es, 12"es, various old toys, nice framed shots of The Who, Golden Earring, Ramones and Kiss on wall. And a huge Andy Warhol print of Marilyn Monroe overlooks everything. This is a truely dedicated listening room. Walls are pained Deep Purple (honestly!).
Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): Mostly rock (metal, hardrock, blues, prog.), folk, soul, funk, rock'n'roll, garage, psychedelica and dance music. I've started to collect some jazz and classical music. Vinyl is my big love. I have close to 10.000 LP's, among them many rarities (first pressings, mono's, etc. mainly from the 60's and 70's) and loads of 7" and 12"es.
System Goals/Comments: My goal is to get the best out of CD's and LP's. I also want to be able to listen for hours, without getting tired of it.
System Strengths: Great soundstage, speakers disappear, this is a very musical lot. The speakers are the latest addition to my set and they are truly fantastic.
System Weaknesses: A more powerfull amp could control the speakers even more. Think about Bi-Amping.
Video/HT System: None
Other Interests/Hobbies/Occupation: Journalist for national newspaper and musicmagazine. Write reviews, travel a lot, go to lotsa gigs, do interviews, buy loads of albums (mostly vinyl), roam the internet for collector's items, try to find place for all those great albums. I LOVE music
