Room Comments/Treatments: LOTS of Reflective diffusion behind the Maggies with LOTS of absorptive diffusion (2” Sonex melamine) on the walls in front of the Maggies.
Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): Classical, Rock/Pop and Musicals. Lot of dynamic voices, such as choral.
System Goals/Comments: All I was after was a good sounding set of desktop speakers and I got a little carried away.
System Strengths: Alive with a lot of air and detail. Highs are smooth and sweet yet refined and well extended. The Vishay caps made a huge improvement in the highs.
System Weaknesses: Stuck with 16-bit, 44.1 kHZ recordings.
Video/HT System: None
Other Interests/Hobbies/Occupation: Music and theology.
