closenplay's ease of operation System
Last Update: November 06, 2005 at 14:53:01 IP Address: 65.19.54.26
Amplifier: teak l700
Preamplifier (or None if Integrated): adcom 555
Speakers: k horns with cornwall center
Sources:
CD Player/DAC: iBook through m-audio firewire
Turntable/Phono Stage: technics sp 15 with 5 grados ranging from blue to platnum
Other Accessories/Room/Misc.:
Speaker Cables/Interconnects: kimber, blue jean, lamp cord
Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): jazz and soul, wailing gospel in the morning, depressing new york rock late at night
System Goals/Comments: I have a fussy but super fine vintage tube set up that I run through the winter (fisher: 400c, pair 200 monos, 55a, nos tubes and all the related obsession) but I am gravitating towards ease of use and fine music rather than the fuss and service
System Strengths: the record library
System Weaknesses: focus on equipment rather than the toons. I have found the balance and lost it time and time again
Video/HT System: None
