Amplifier: JVC RX618V
Preamplifier (or None if Integrated): none
Speakers: Original Altec Lansing Model Nineteen
Bought em used for an investment once I hooked them up I was "hooked". Awesome!
Sources:
CD Player/DAC: Magnavox CDC 745 carousel, Sony DVP-NS725P DVD player, Sony K717ES cassette deck (w/Dolby S)_
Turntable/Phono Stage: in the basement
Other Source(s): Other fans of the Good Ole Grateful Dead
Other Accessories/Room/Misc.:
Speaker Cables/Interconnects: Flexible, thick assed, stranded cable, with clear insulation (found it at the dump)
Room Size (LxWxH): too x small x
Room Comments/Treatments: waiting to move to new location where I can be the King and enjoy the benefits of a larger castle. Listening to whatever suits me. (Its good to be the King)
Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): Jazz; afro cuban contemporary, Be-Bop, Standards, even some lounge, Vintage Dead 70's through about 89 when recorded well
System Goals/Comments: I need to repair a couple of older but seemingly good receivers. They both have 'circuit protection' messages being displayed on a lcd type display, on the face of the receivers " both are same make and model)
System Strengths: Model Nineteen's run an a nominal 15w value. When I turn the amp up to 10 out of 10 they dont tax the amp at all, extremely efficient.
System Weaknesses: My room, I want to go to a class A amp or tube set up but dont know much about and limited resources $$$
Video/HT System: Integrated
TV/Projector: sony trinitron 27' older, good shape, Free on Craigs list even came with profesional series VCR
Speakers (Center, Surrounds, Sub): Yamaha center and L and R rear Dont use too much kills music not inteded for surround
Sources (DVD/VCR): sony dvd
