Room Comments/Treatments: Diagnoal wall breaks up standing waves; speakers project on angle; ceilng has five surfaces; dense carpet; no wall treatments.
Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): Classical, Broadway, jazz, vocal
System Goals/Comments: This is an entry level high-end system. I've been in this hobby for 47 years. Took me a long time to get this far. Just some small additions and changes to come.
System Strengths: Realistic, concert sound. Not pinpoint soundstaging, which rarely can be discerned in live venues anyway.
System Weaknesses: Last bit of resolution. Sources could be higher quality.
Video/HT System: Separate
TV/Projector: Sony CRT - upgrade to come
Processor/Receiver/Amplifiers: Outlaw 950
Speakers (Center, Surrounds, Sub): Intgergrated with audio system
Sources (DVD/VCR): Mitsubishi VCR
Comments on HT System: In process, will take several more years to compete. HD-DVD or Blue Ray???
Other Interests/Hobbies/Occupation: Bass clarinet in two ensembles, jazz piano
