Last Update: July 07, 2006 at 22:09:56 IP Address: 4.159.215.145
Amplifier: poweramp inside sony str-6036-35w (internal preamp, tone controls and source switches bypassed,(for bass) usually up to 1500hz

hitachi hma-3700 Lo-d 100w power amp even though it rarely gets much over 10watts(except really loud instances) for midrange usually around 1500hz up to about 5k

and a regular sharp reciver from 80's for the tweeters 5k and up

Preamplifier (or None if Integrated): pre-amps built into ev tapco cp-x

2 channel, 2-way electronic crossover with levelers for low and high (2 each channel)

the sharp reciver still has its signal routed through the original circut.

Speakers: Kenwood JL-770 acoustic air suspension 3-way

12'woofer 4-1/2'mid 2'tweeter, all cones

with three amps directly controlling the speakers, original crossover still protects the tweeter (for now)

rated at 70w rated max 140w(@8ohms)

custom (slightly wider) cabinets

Sources:
CD Player/DAC: harmon kardon cdr-2
Turntable/Phono Stage: gerrard, bsr - shure n44c n44e n72b n55e v15typeIII n55e
Other Source(s): fisher 8track player, sony tc-530 7-inch reel deck, teac 3300 10-inch reel deck both 1/4' 1/4 track but the teac can be converted with diffrent heads and capistan to run 1/4 tape half track at 15i.p.s.

pioneer dual cassette, tv, vcr, mics,

Other Accessories/Room/Misc.:
Speaker Cables/Interconnects: push levers on the crossover which still protects my tweaters, typical blade connectors from amps to speakers

silver sodder on the speaker tabs for the woofer and the mid

signal cables are hosa wires with switchcraft ends 1/4' to rca except my sony which has 1/4' on one end and soddered to the poweramp module

Other (Power Conditioner, Racks etc.): ev-tapco cp-x 2channel 2way electronic crossover to split signal by frequency range, adc equalizer im currently using only on 1k, 2k, and 4k, at about 12+ and dumping the rest (to midrange amp) and nothings there much below 1500hz
Tweaks: play it flat, unless youre doing live shows the tone has been set, dont over-record
Room Size (LxWxH): 30ft x 15ft x 8ft
Room Comments/Treatments: left speaker shoots out along a wall,

right speaker kinda shoots out along a half-wall if i had my way, a little wider, with 2 full walls and domed out behind the speakers (with subs in the floors)-----someday

Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): any good recording of decent music

-im open to most diffrent types

System Goals/Comments: more accurate sound reproduction
System Strengths: accurate sound reproduction
System Weaknesses: i could use 100 more amps and speakers, all diffrent kinds

all solid-state at this point

Video/HT System: Separate
TV/Projector: picture tube tv
Processor/Receiver/Amplifiers: archer-old analog surround, which only drives the rear speakers and shoots out the front signal to my stereo rig
Speakers (Center, Surrounds, Sub): front kenwood-jl-770 acoustic air

rear some crappy little pioneer speakers i got for free, no centerchannel subs

Sources (DVD/VCR): vcr-mitsubishi dvd-emerson
Comments on HT System: i dont have much in the way of this
Other Interests/Hobbies/Occupation: cars
