| System Weaknesses: | Vifa is an excellent midrange, while there is measured output around 40Hz, it's rather lightweight at that extension! However, room has proven to be a factor: high performance sub totally overpowered the room, turning everything to mush. The recycled Linn tweeter (circa '93?) has lumpy in box response when meaured with LEAP. FS @1500, output within 2dB from 2-6kHZ, down 4dB @ 16kHz, then up 8dB at 27kHZ, and rather poor off-axis as well, while still retaining that 27K spike. Try to tame that with a first order XO. |
