Room Comments/Treatments: pretty damn stock furniture / carpet
Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): eclectic - almost anything except Gangsta Rap

& Opera.

System Goals/Comments: I won't say tap my feet, but credibility is prime. Happy to sacrifice extreme low end extension and total SPL for the ease and warmth I'm currently getting from the EL34's

Can't really dance properly in this room anyway!

System Strengths: articulate midbass, wide/open sound stage Vifa is very smooth from 200-over 3k,
System Weaknesses: Vifa is an excellent midrange, while there is measured output around 40Hz, it's rather lightweight at that extension! However, room has proven to be a factor: high performance sub totally overpowered the room, turning everything to mush.

The recycled Linn tweeter (circa '93?) has lumpy in box response when meaured with LEAP.

FS @1500, output within 2dB from 2-6kHZ, down 4dB @ 16kHz, then up 8dB at 27kHZ, and rather poor off-axis as well, while still retaining that 27K spike. Try to tame that with a first order XO.

Video/HT System: None
