Amplifier: jeff rowland model 1
Preamplifier (or None if Integrated): DIY 2 stage 6C45 phono, passive eq and TVC line stage. RCLCLC filtering plus shunt regulation power supplies.

Sources:
CD Player/DAC: Mission with DAC 5
Turntable/Phono Stage: Scheu based DIY. 80mm platter still under development.
Pierre Lurne unipivot
Audio Technica ART1 cartridge with VdH re-tip
Other Accessories/Room/Misc.:
Speaker Cables/Interconnects: DIY
Other (Power Conditioner, Racks etc.): Ran separate mains spur for amps and TT.
Tweaks: granite bases for TT and pre-amp on bicycle inner tubes for air suspension. Might try sand boxes soon.
Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): Classical, Jazz, blues, world, folk, rock....
System Goals/Comments: never ending quest. Will go all triode for mid and top, but might keep JR model 1 for bass only. Might try speakers later.
System Strengths: very very good on acoustic instruments... Really sounds "right there" in front of me. Good punch, tight bass. DIY phono never runs out of steam (unlike my prevoius commercial high end pre) I used to think I had a misstracking problems on complex passages but guess what... Was the 3k commercial unit which has led me to believe that feedback is evil. At this point I keep hearing all sorts of subtle stuff I didn't even know was recorded.
System Weaknesses: Jut missing that final can't quite put the finger on it... stuff. I hope my upcoming 2A3 SET amp might well do the trick (fingers crossed) And then i'll be just missing that can't quite put my finger on it :-)
Video/HT System: Integrated
TV/Projector: Sanyo Z3
Sources (DVD/VCR): Playstation 2 (not so good)
Comments on HT System: PS2's image is OK and sounds better than I imagined (but not great) Main problem is that the picture to audio sync drifts. I suppose I should not use a PS2
Other Interests/Hobbies/Occupation: motorcycle racing (only watching now... used to assist), photography alcoholic beverages and food
