IP Address: 68.231.152.159 Last Update: November 03, 2008 at 15:29:04
Amplifier: SAE A-10, or Pioneer SA-9800 depending on mood
Preamplifier (or None if Integrated): None
Speakers: Klipsh Cornwalls,Klipsh Fortes
Sources:
CD Player/DAC: Pioneer P-D70 for audio, Yamaha DVD C-920 #1 for alternate source
Turntable/Phono Stage: Pioneer PL-950( I don't use this at all, no longer have any vinyl)
Other Source(s): Pioneer CT-S99WR tape deck
Other Accessories/Room/Misc.:
Speaker Cables/Interconnects: Monster Cable
Tweaks: Technics SH-8033 EQ( occasionally as warrented)
Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): Classical, classically influenced metal ( my favorite by far)
System Goals/Comments: As many audioholics,my equipment is constantly changing and evolving(?),as I have over 50 components, and more speakers than my wife wants to look at.
System Strengths: Decent imaging and clarity, plenty of head room
System Weaknesses: Can be very picky with certain recordings( harsh),bulky
Video/HT System: Separate
TV/Projector: 32" Sony Trinitron
Processor/Receiver/Amplifiers: Sansui QR-6500 Quad
Speakers (Center, Surrounds, Sub): JbL L-150's, Pioneer CS-B9000's, Realistic Optimus 1 ( 2 sets, why not?)
Sources (DVD/VCR): Yamaha DVD-C920 #2
Other HT Gear: Sanui AV-77 Video Processor( collects dust)
Comments on HT System: Usually I only run the Sansui speakers, as the Quad has a hard time pushing the JBL's in 4 channel, for 2 channel audio the JBL's do well.I really need to hook them up in a different room with at least 100WPC.
