Tweaks: Vibrapods under Thorens
Room Size (LxWxH): 11' x 12 x 8'
Room Comments/Treatments: Very small room, nevertheless, I've configured an equilateral set up w/ a perfectly positioned sweet spot for my leather recliner, 2 equipment racks and 2 floorstanding tower speakers while still finding room for 2 bookcases (1 floor to ceiling, 1 waist high) a desk, and my computer work station.
Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): In this system I focus on small jazz combo stuff and symphonic stuff, but not the large scale works, except occasionally, when I swap the Dyna/Van Alstine (25 w/ch) for the Aragon solid state.
System Goals/Comments: A transparent system w/ natural timbres. The preamp has dual outputs with one going to each amp. I have dedicated speaker cables for each amp terminated w/ dbbl bananas so I simply connect whichever amp I'm in the mood for or which better suits the particular music I plan on listening to, typically the Van Alstine for vinyl and the Aargon for cd.
System Strengths: Very transparent & intimate sound, tube warmth, non-fatiguing, great soundstaging.
System Weaknesses: Still working on more effective turntable isolation.
Video/HT System: Integrated
TV/Projector: RCA Gemstar TruFlat 19" TV/DVD.
Other Interests/Hobbies/Occupation: See my "Den Systems"
