Preamplifier (or None if Integrated): Yamaha GO46 (mic preamp)
Speakers: Etymotics ER-4S
Sources:
CD Player/DAC: Chaintech AV-710
Turntable/Phono Stage: Technics SL-1200, AT OC9-MLII, wired for flat balanced operation over XLR
Other Source(s): iPod Video
Other Accessories/Room/Misc.:
Speaker Cables/Interconnects: TT interconnect: Belden 1800F running balanced to Neutrik XLR
Other (Power Conditioner, Racks etc.): Target double wall shelf
Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): Experimental electronic, western art music, 20th century art music, avant-garde rock
System Goals/Comments: The system is exclusively geared around transcribing records to my computer, which is the only way I listen to records (of any format!).
System Strengths: Very low EM interference due to fully-balanced turntable operation and shielded path to ADC. Flat transfer capabilities.
System Weaknesses: Not compatible with MM carts without some additional tweaks. Push-button access to phantom power across the cartridge (which fortunately does not seem to cause damage). No live listening with RIAA eq (yet).
Video/HT System: None
