Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): Everything! Preferences for SACD.
System Goals/Comments: • Priced between $1000.00 – 2000.00 for the Speakers
• Tread the line (that we have just made up!) between our open bias here at I.M.H.O. for neutral and transparent over “musical” and forgiving…. but at the same time being able to represent a full range of two channel music, from current “popular music” to jazz, classical and acoustic, without the aid of a subwoofer.
• Be acceptable in both size and practicality in an “average” to small living room. It doesn’t matter if the speakers are monitors or floor standing, but they should not take up too much real estate physically (in having a large “footprint”), or in orientation (i.e. requiring placement of out into the middle of the room to achieve full effect or necessitating major sound proofing/room modifications).
• Able to be powered by modest equipment, therefore not requiring $5000.00 “boutique” ancillary equipment to sound decent!
System Strengths: Transparent, room filling sound.
System Weaknesses: TOO engagng?? Too much time spent listenign and not working! Luckily for me listenign IS working? :)
Video/HT System: Separate
TV/Projector: Sony 60" Rear Projection SXRD
Processor/Receiver/Amplifiers: NuForce AVP17 Pro.; Behringer A500 x5 Power Amps (1 per channel at 500 watts each!)

Av123 Onix Refrence1's for surrounds.
Sources (DVD/VCR): Denon 3910 Universal Disc Player
Other HT Gear: Oppo HDMI Switch
Comments on HT System: THE Dedicated listening Room; preferance for Surround Sound Mixes in SACD: 70% Audio, 30% Video usage.
