Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): Wide range of classical Multichannel SACD, Blu-ray
System Goals/Comments: To recreate the musical realism of the live concert hall experience as faithfully as possible, therefore Hi rez multichannel. I almost never listen in stereo anymore.
System Strengths: The Exasound DAC and Dirac Live have elevated my sound considerably. I really have not heard better anywhere.
System Weaknesses: Lacks SACD disc playback.
Video/HT System: Integrated
TV/Projector: Sony A3000 60" SXRD rear projector
Other HT Gear: Silicon Dust HD Homerun Prime Cablecard tuner.
Darbee Darblet 5000
Comments on HT System: Extremely pleased. TV set is old but still delivers a very satisfying experience.
Other Interests/Hobbies/Occupation: Go to large numbers of live concerts (about 2/month); willing to challenge the status quo, especially about High End audio; my wife says I like to be a troublemaker, so I guess that's my main interest in life after music and audio.
