System Goals/Comments: | Bring the live performance to the listening room. Combination of accuracy and pleasing to the ear. A high-power system with effortless dynamics of low-power single-ended. |
System Strengths: | Microdynamics and overall dynamic range. Image specificity. Expansive soundstage. Transparency and soundstage maintained through wide dynamic swings and complex passages. True full-range response- 'Gestalt!!' The best of both high-power and SET sonics. |
System Weaknesses: | VSA speakers over time developed an 'antique checkering' cosmetic flaw. Bogen MO-100 amps might get reduced use during hot AZ summer months- Tubes generate a lot of heat. (But the MO-30s are used during the summer, generate less heat.) |
