Room Size (LxWxH): 22 x 12 x 9
Room Comments/Treatments: Rather strange shape. Shorter wall is really short. Distance to the listening position is 8'.
Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): Classic 80%, Jazz (instrumental), etc. Only acoustic music deserves this investment, IMO.
System Goals/Comments: Natural sounding strings - violin, cello, etc. in small musics and concertos
Natural sounding Keyboards - Piano, Organ, Harpsichord.
Feel the presence of the performer.
System Strengths: Good strings (violin and cello) texture.
TacT is doing a very good job on my strange shaped room acoustics. Bass management is excellent. More real sound, sound stage, depth, and sound image, air, space among performers, realistic presence in the room - closer to what I hear in the concert hall. Really good sound. Thanks to Dan Bellity @ DB System (www.db-system.ms)
System Weaknesses: Due to the nature of single driver, a bit bass shy, but not a problem for me.
I wish I could better manage the acoustics before TacT effect. Also, I wish I could afford more room around the speakers as well as between them and me.
Video/HT System: Integrated
TV/Projector: JVC tube 27' flat screen: who cares?
Sources (DVD/VCR): Pioneer DV59i (Mod by DVD Upgrade + DB System)
